Micah & Maya Engagement session
Maya contacted me a few months ago and told me that they wanted me to photograph their wedding! I was really excited that they wanted me to be their photographer, but I was ecstatic that they were getting married the same place my husband and I got married! Van Dickson Ranch is the most gorgeous place to get married, but I may just be partial to it :)
When we finally got to take their engagement photos in Verrado, Arizona decided that it didn't want to grace us with it's beautiful sunshine. We started with the two of them and their new puppy, Reba, because how could you not want to take photos of puppies?! Around sunset, we trekked a little bit to get to the top of this hill and boy was it worth it! The clouds were absolutely fantastic, you couldn't have asked for a more perfect sunset. I had an idea in my head and I really wanted them to showcase their fancy two-stepping skills in front of their jeep. It may or may not have taken a few tries to get it perfect, but who cares when you're dancing fools.
At the end, they asked if I could take some photos of their house since they are in the process of building their first home. I love that we literally got to see the inside of what will soon be their house. I couldn't think of a more perfect way to end the night!
Taking photos with a puppy: Expectation vs. Reality
It's 2017, selfies are a necessity :)
