Micah and Maya
September 16, 2017
Micah and Maya's wedding kicked off Fall wedding season and let me tell you, their wedding did not disappoint. They chose their wedding at the beautiful Van Dickson Ranch in Skull Valley which was the perfect back drop for their rustic wedding. It was nostalgic for my husband and I since it was the same venue we got married at over two years ago. It was so fun to go back there but this time to tell their story.
These two share the same passion for adventure, and that was apparent throughout the day. When Maya walked down the aisle, Micah's jaw literally dropped. My favorite part of the whole day was their ceremony, they didn't want to do a traditional sand ceremony. Instead, they used soil from where they grew up, how adorable is that?! When they exchanged vows, Micah surprised her with the cutest photo. It was a photo of her, Micah said he took the photo because that was the moment he realized he was in love with her. The love they shared was apparent as Maya held back her tears when she shared her vows.
The reception continued underneath the ramada right next to the lush polo field. After the father daughter dance, Maya was adamant in sharing a first dance with her grandfather as well. I have never seen a bride dancing with her grandpa before and you could not wipe that smile off his face. I hard time holding back tears, it was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. The rest of the day couldn't have been more perfect, and the reception was not shy of a good time!
I adore these two, and I'm so thankful that I could be there to document their big day!
