Arizona desert engagement with a western twist!
Troy and Alexis
I first met Alexis during my undergrad as a photography student at ASU. The first time I met Alexis was actually for an interview at The State Press, she was the Photo Editor and hired me to be a photojournalist for the paper. I had zero experience as a photojournalist, but she was so sweet and patient with me my first year working there. Fast forward to last year, she just got engaged to Troy and that they wanted engagement photos in Disneyland. I was overwhelmed with joy and excitement, if you haven’t seen the photos from their engagement shoot, check it out because it was SO EPIC!
Similar to entering Disneyland, Boojum Tree was like stepping into a fairytale; exiting the dry Phoenix desert and entering a tropical oasis filled with greenery. As true Disney fans, they filled their tables with centerpieces made up of their favorite Disney theme parks, Cars Land, Fantasyland, it really spoke for their love of everything Disney.
Troy was beyond excited for this day that had been long overdue. During their first look, his reaction was so sweet, he couldn’t contain his tears. They specifically wanted a first look because they knew how overwhelmed they both would be and wanted to share that with each other. When the ceremony came around and Troy saw her walking down the aisle, he was so overjoyed that the tears began to flow again!
It was such a fun day, and the dance floor was on fire the whole night. These guys know how to party! Oh, and if you ever want to see Troy cut a rug, just ask him to, “Teach me how to Dougie!”
Congratulations to the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Lopez, it was a beautiful day!
